It’s written by Shana Hollowell and illustrated by Jennifer Finch. Little Mouse’s Sweet Treat is a nice book to read to young children. I can totally see myself reading this book to my two little mice, age 2 and 3, as a goodnight story or while eating some chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk. It had the same wonderful delight as the classic book. Shana Hollowell's story, told in rhymes, and Jennifer Finch's gorgeous watercolor picture makes this an enjoyable picture book.Īs I read Little Mouse's Sweet Treat, it reminded me of Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr. As he returns home after a long day quest, Mouse is delighted to find his mother has made cookies, which is the sweet treat he has been looking for. However, their treats is not what Mouse is craving. Along the way, he meets many farm friends who are willing to share their treats.
